Houston police said the crash occurred around 4:45 p.m. on July 12, 2026, in the 15400 block of southbound North U.S. Highway 59.
The SUV was attempting to exit when it made contact with a red Freightliner Cascadia, lost control, and hit a barrier wall.
The SUV driver and one passenger died at the scene. Another passenger was transported to a hospital.
